Chapter: 7

Author's POV

After the call ended, Bhavika ran towards her room, leaving the dining table in complete silence. No one knew what to say or how to react to the revelation.

Shalini wanted to go after Bhavika but was stopped by her husband. For a moment, there was a heavy silence until Rajendra, (Aksh's father), chose to break it.

"Kian, what is going on? Why didn’t we know about any of this? Why did you hide it from us? If we had known, we would never have asked for Bhavika’s hand in marriage!" Rajendra demanded.

Kian remained silent, pondering whether he should reveal the truth. Noticing Kian's silence, Rajendra pressed, "I’m asking you something, Kian. Answer me honestly, and this time, nothing should be left hidden from any of us."

Now, Kian was left with no choice but to tell them the truth.

"It was around the time our final exams were about to start, and we were nearing the complete of our 11th class-- when Kian began to speak.

Author POV (Flashback)

"You know you should confess to him. Just go up to him and share what’s in your heart. Even if it's just a little crush, tell him," Trishika said, trying to help Bhavika understand while holding both of her hands.

It was lunch break, and the two of them were sitting side by side at a desk, facing each other.

"But he already likes someone else. Since I know he has someone, it wouldn't be right for me to confess my feelings to him. Why should I humiliate myself when I already know what is going to happen?" Bhavika replied, trying to help Trishika understand her perspective.

"Okay, now listen to me carefully. Even if he rejects you, it will give you a reason to move on and open your heart to someone who will love you as you deserve," Trishika said.

“I-I’m not sure if I’ll be able to handle it,” Bhavika replied hesitantly.

"Don't worry; I will be with you. We only know that he likes someone, but what if that’s just a rumor? We haven't heard anything about him being in a relationship officially. You're simply confessing your feelings, and there’s nothing wrong with that," Trishika encouraged, trying to give her some courage.

"should I really do this?" bhavika replied.

“Yes, you should. Okay! I will tell him to meet us after school, and everything will be fine. I am with you, you know that” Trishika said.

after the school ended---

"aksh what are you doing now let's go" Kian said being frustrated with his best friend.

Aksh is sitting on the desk with his notebook open infront of him and Kian is standing by his side.

"Chalte hai na bhai, school khatam ho gaya hai, kiska wait kar raha hai?" ("Let's go brother, school is over, who are you waiting for?") Kian asked the same question for nth time but his best friend is not telling him anything and is sitting like a statue.

" thori der ruk ja Kian chalte hai, Trishika bol rahi thi usse milna hai kuch important baat karni thi usse" ("Wait for a while, then we'll go, Trishika was saying that she has to meet me, she had to talk to her about something important") Aksh said finally.

"acha! phale hi na bata deta me kab se yaha puch raha tha paglo ki tarah jab" ("Oh! You should have told me earlier. I was asking here like a mad person for so long.") Kian said dropping hua bag on desk and sat beside Aksh.

As they were talking, Trishika entered the classroom holding hands with Bhavika.

Seeing them, Aksh and Kian both stood up from their seats. Trishika walked in front of them with Bhavika by her side.

Aksh looked at Trishika and asked in a confused tone, "What is she doing here with you?"

"Aksh, Bhavika wanted to talk to you about something," Trishika replied nervously.
